We are looking for a Project Manager for an authority in the traffic sector.

This is a consultancy assignment. The location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

As a Project Manager for Design, you are responsible for ensuring the design for a construction block with several stations, both during the design phase and execution phase. The role involves leading a team of design managers, coordinating with contractors and internal resources, and reporting on the status of the design. You ensure that contractual requirements, quality, work environment, and sustainability are followed throughout the project.

Responsibilities

Lead the team of design managers, coordinate design and technical issues, and escalate when necessary.

Plan, follow up, support, and monitor the design with the consultant and/or contractor.

Ensure that deliveries are made according to agreements and timelines.

Follow the project until the as-built documents and final documentation are established.

Monitor conditions and ensure compliance with requirements, as well as manage work environment, environmental, quality, and sustainability issues.

Report progress of the design to the Block Construction Project Manager.

Report any risks that may affect time and cost, and ensure systematic risk management.

Participate in design coordination, review the contractor's design work, and reporting.

Maintain contact with internal resources, contracted contractors, and external partners.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Higher education in construction and civil engineering or equivalent deemed relevant for the position, e.g., civil engineering degree.

At least 10 years of experience in design and project management within construction/infrastructure projects, of which at least 5 years in large multidisciplinary projects (more than 500 million in project budget).

Experience working as a design manager in at least three large construction projects (project budget >500 MSEK) for at least 3 years.

Experience working as a project manager/design manager in larger multidisciplinary projects for at least 3 years.

Experience working in at least two subway projects, renovations/extensions, or new production in roles within design management or project management (project budget >300 MSEK).

Experience of at least 5 years working with digital document management including 3D models.

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Desirable

Knowledge of construction law AB/ABT and BAS-P from at least one course or training.

At least 5 years of experience as a design manager for a public client.

At least 8 years of experience from the contracting side related to construction or civil engineering activities.

Personal Qualities

Ability to collaborate and fit into the workgroup.

Good communication skills.

Analytical ability.
